Bishop Benjamin Evans, FSP was consecrated a bishop in the Traditional Old Catholic Church of North America (from Utrecht succession) on November 24, 2002 by Bishop Edward Joseph Black, Presiding Bishop. Bishop Black was assisted by Bishop Peter Jeffrey Sterling, Presiding Bishop emeritus of the Traditional Old Catholic Church and by Bishop Willard Earl Schultz (Duarte-Costa) succession of the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America and Bishop William Howard Fite (Duarte-Costa succession) of the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America. Bishop Evans is the Minister Guardian of the Society of the Franciscan Servants of the Poor. (www.fspfranciscans.com) an ecumenical Franciscan community. He is a graduate of Magister Noster Latin School Seminary, New York Theological Seminary and the American Institute of Holistic Theology. Bishop Evans holds a Masters degree in Counseling, Masters degree in Nursing, Certificate of Ministry and Doctor of Divinity degree.
